Crigglestone

Crigglestone Daycare is a well-established, independent, not-for-profit, local nursery for children aged 0 to 5 years old. We open from 7.45am to 6pm all year round. We have three separate rooms so that children aged 0 to 2, 2 to 3 and 3 to 5 years old can explore, learn and develop safely and independently in their own space. All three rooms have direct access to a secure and stimulating outdoor area, and being based at Standbridge Community Centre, we enjoy access to the grounds. This enables us to go on nature walks, run on the field, shade under the trees and give us space to ride our bikes safely in a large open space!

Home-cooked food is prepared in our 5-star hygiene rated kitchen, with three meals and two snacks provided daily.

A team of well-qualified early years practitioners deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage. Careful observation is used to create an environment which taps into the interests and developmental needs of every child. Adult supported activities enhance children’s learning. We work closely with external professionals when required and have lots of experience of working with children with additional needs.

We aim to provide a safe and nurturing environment where every child feels happy and inspired to learn, develop and to take part in enriching experiences.

We strive to lay strong foundations for the future by encouraging independence, expression, confidence and kindness in all of our children.

We promote close relationships with all of our families, working together to help our children flourish, develop resilience and a joy for learning.
